Events in 2018

The Orion Vespers (Vesperae pro Serveto) received its third performance on January 28th at Cordova Bay United Church (Victoria BC) when I conducted 60 singers and chamber orchestra in the 7 movements of this half-hour setting of Latin texts by Frances Dearman.

A miniature I wrote for the occasion was performed at the University of Victoria in a 50th anniversary concert: Flourish 1 for violin, clarinet and piano was premiered on Feb. 3 – details here.

Then the following day, on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 4, two of my arrangements (Tea for Two, and Pachelbel’s Canon in D) were performed by the Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus at their “Tea and Symphony” fundraiser.

On July 4th in Calgary AB, Kerry-Anne Kutz (soprano) and Valerie Hall (organ) performed three of my Six Songs.at Cathedral of the Redeemer as part of the Calgary Organ Festival produced by the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
