Éileamh na Talún

Set to an original poem (in the Irish language) by Dublin writer Eoin Mc Evoy, this work in three movements… While the entire work is set in Irish, most of the text is sung by the 2 soloists, while the chorus sings a limited amount of the poetry. The score is accompanied by sound files of the poet reading his text, and clear pronunciation guidelines for non-speakers of the language. This project was made possible by support from the Canada Council for the Arts and from University College Dublin.
